Simon Boyle
Founder & CEO
Simon is the vision behind the Beyond Food Foundation and Brigade Bar+Kitchen. Since 2004, Simon has worked tirelessly to help homeless people across London rebuild their lives, imparting his passion, skills and knowledge of cooking and food.

Jo Littman
Business Development Manager
Jo is responsible for the long-term sustainability of Beyond Food Foundation; her main focus is on fundraising, partnerships and events. Jo joined us in October 2020, After a 30-year career, in education training and development and most recently raising income for the largest UK Primary Multi Academy Trust.

Jan Seymour
Support & Progression Manager
Jan provides support and guidance on housing, benefits, mental health, debt recovery, and family issues, helping our beneficiaries overcome barriers they may face and rebuilding their confidence for future employment.

Caitlin
Digital Marketing Apprentice
Caitlin promotes the charity through digital marketing.
She joined the team in October 2021.

Leon Seraphin
Chef Trainer
Leon started as an apprentice himself, back in 2004, before progressing his career and becoming a Head Chef in a professional kitchen. Leon is responsible for all aspects of training the apprentices and delivering our Freshlife programme.

Alisha Gibson
Front Of House Trainer
Alisha is responsible for developing and implementing the delivery of Front of House skills, knowledge, and practical demonstration-based learning, monitoring the development of the Freshlife and work experience participants.

Assistant Support & Progression Manager
Joanne joined Beyond Food Foundation in October 2021, she works alongside Jan providing daily support and guidance for our beneficiaries.

Pars Purewal
Chair of Trustees
Pars is a non-executive director on an FTSE250 company and a subsidiary of US SEC registrant, and a member of a Brussels-based NGO that supports agricultural advancement in Africa, Asia and the Far East. During the pandemic, Pars was a member of the Management Board of a charity which provided over 250,000 meals for our NHS heroes. Pars was a partner at PwC for nearly 25 years and had responsibility for the Asset & Wealth Management business in the UK. Pars was also a people partner looking after more than 700 people, the FD for a company with revenues over £100m and the Sales Partner for a business segment.

Oliver Hatch
Charity Secretary
Oliver has worked in public libraries, run his own photography business. He directed the European conference series ‘Velo-city’ dedicated to promoting the bicycle as a sustainable form of transport. He also headed a collaboration to help found the All-Party Parliamentary Group for London. Olly has a passion for improving life for Londoners, volunteers at Tate Modern and sings in the ENO community choir.

Martin Miles
Trustee
Martin is also a Trustee of two other charities: Citizens Advice in North and West & Kent and Scotts Project Trust. He has worked as a Consulting Actuary, spent 12 years as a partner at PWC. Director of ITS Limited for six years, working as a Professional Pension Fund Trustee. Has spent many years closely involved in the London livery companies, and was master of the Actuaries Livery Company in 2014/15.

Ian MacEachern
Trustee
Ian started his finance career at Andersen/Deloitte and BSkyB before moving into the restaurant sector holding senior roles at D&D London, Caprice Holdings and the Birley group of private members clubs. As finance director of WSH restaurants, he supports their restaurant ventures and PwC/BaxterStorey in operating the Brigade Bar Kitchen and the BeyondFood Foundation.

Isadora Isadora
Trustee
Isadora is a solicitor specialising in Private Client Matters. Previously, Isadora worked in Property Litigation at a legal aid firm acting for tenants in social housing and assisted those who needed to make homeless applications. She is passionate about helping those who have experienced or threatened with homelessness. Combined with her love of food, Isadora wanted to be involved in a Beyond Food charity.

Sean Malone
Trustee
Sean is a qualified Chartered Accountant who has spent 30 years working in banking and is currently Head of Corporate & Institutional Structured Finance at NatWest. He is preparing for retirement next year and says his involvement as a trustee of Beyond Food is an attractive prospect for how he’ll spend some of the newfound time together with his principle interests which are sport, family and dog walking in the Kent countryside.

Alessandro Mazza
Trustee
Alessandro Mazza is a Managing Director at Morgan Stanley. He has 15+ years’ experience in financial services, focusing on investment banking, debt capital markets, mergers & acquisitions. Alessandro has a deep-rooted passion for food, which brought him to invest in a hospitality business and his involvement with our foundation. He serves as an Advisory Board Member for Mind with Heart, and as Trustee for Engera UK.

Philip Miles
Trustee
Phil leads Google’s Display and Video Ad Sales in the UK. He’s been at Google since 2007 working with UK clients and agencies and has experience across a range of digital disciplines including adtech and programmatic having led the Google Marketing Platform (GMP) team as UK managing director for six years. Phil’S work has helped customers get the best from Google’s video and display media solutions with a specific focus on YouTube.

Philip Richardson
Trustee
Philip is the Hospitality and Leisure Industry Director for Barclays, responsible for providing sector specialism to a range of clients nationally across corporate and investment bank. Philip is a speaker about the sector. Previously, Philip headed up the healthcare infrastructure and structured project finance team at Barclays and has over 30 years of corporate banking experience across various roles.
