When you buy our Christmas Puddings, you are helping our apprentices transform their lives. They're perfect for your Christmas table or as gifts for friends.

Beyond Food's Chef Founder, Simon Boyle, has launched a new range of food products and we're delighted to be working with him to bring you the ME'N'U brand which stands for aspiration, ambition, momentum and a network of change. By purchasing a pudding, you are helping us transform the lives of those we help. All our profits are reinvested to fund our training programmes and apprentices. Thank you.

Christmas Puddings come in three varieties:

  • Vine fruits, walnuts and French Brandy
  • Black Cherry and Amaretto
  • Chocolate and Kirsch

Christmas Puddings are priced at £13.50 (+£2 P&P) and a box of 6 mince pies is £5.50 (+£2 P&P).

Social Saturday 2016

Our Brigade apprentices and Chef Founder Simon Boyle were busy in the Borough Market demo kitchen on Saturday 15th October! They were joined by actor Michael Sheen to cook up a fantastic lobster dish.

Thacker Achievement Awards for Cohort 10

On Friday 2nd September we held the Thacker Achievement Awards for Cohort 10. The award recognises the outstanding progress the United Kitchen Apprentices have made over the 6 months they have been in Brigade, and also marks the mid-point of their apprenticeship learning.

It was a time to look back and reflect, but also a time to celebrate moving forward towards their next placement with one of our employer partners. Never ones to shy away from a challenge, the apprentices last task was to make canapes for the event, and we were treated to a fantastic selection of different and exciting bites.

We wish them all the best in their new placements!

 

 

Running the UK coast!

In November 2015 Elise Downing embarked on a mammoth fundraising challenge, running around the coast of the UK!

5000 miles in just 10 months, including some of the wettest winter weather the UK has seen for several years. Undaunted, Elise has run on, carrying her belongs in her backpack. As Winter made way for Spring, Elise arrived at the Scottish border, eager to experience the phenominal scenery of the West coast and sample the local culinary delights.

Now the finish line is in sight on Saturday 27th August, back at Greenwich.

Leon's Culinary Journey Supperclub

Treat your taste buds to a culinary journey around the world on Friday 29th April with our very own Chef Trainer, Leon Seraphin. First stop Dominica and the Virgin Islands where Leon spent most of his teenage years, next we're moving to the UK for a timeless and tasty British dish and lastly an inspiring and mouth watering recipe from South Africa, where Leon spent some of his time training alongside Prue Leith. Leon will be joined by past and present apprentices, who he has helped over the years out of homelessness and into employment.
