Charity bike ride
Bikes, bikes, bikes… this Summer London is all about bikes!
Ride London returned for another year, ready to gear up interest in everything cycling related in the city and it was a soaring success. Firstly Saturday saw the inner-city streets around The Houses of Parliament, Buckingham Palace, Trafalgar Square and Chancery Lane transform into temporary car-free zones, open for the capital’s cyclist to enjoy for 7 hours. The streets were buzzing with the silent hum of thousands of bike wheels spinning through the streets, as well as music and entertainment stages all brought together in celebration of this much loved free cycling event. Finally Sunday saw Surrey 100 riders race a 100 mile course starting and finishing in the heart of the city.
If you were there and got swept away in the excitement of the day, you are not alone! Some dedicated fundraisers are taking on a 54 mile bike journey from London to Brighton on 6th September. Ride alongside three of our current apprentices, Dixie, Lloyd and Mel and you’ll help support our work with homeless people in London.
We still have places available so sign up here for your latest cycling challenge!
